- Create fruit compote: add strawberries, sugar and water into a small sauce pan on the stove top. Heat up and simmer till fruits are soft. Mash and allow to cool.
- Dalgona Matcha: Mix two egg whites until frothy. Add in matcha slowly 1 tsp at a time while whisking blended egg whites. Whisk until stiff peaks form or fluffy texture is achieved
- Assemble cup: Scoop a few spoonfuls of fruit compote into the cup. Add ice. Add your choice of milk. Place whipped matcha on top
- Sprinkle matcha on top, mix, and enjoy!
Notes
Adjust matcha amount, more or less depending on preferences. Add more for more flavor and color.
Do not overwhisk egg whites, mix until a whipped texture, up till stiff peaks form.
If only making one cup, halve the fruit compote recipe only.
